I believe it uses the same piping, I don't see why it wouldn't, but I could be wrong. I'll be doing an F1-a on my car eventually. I believe the F is known for coming on a bit later in the powerband, but if your racing and have a built motor that shouldn't be a problem. What I like about it is it's perfect for the hp level you have in mind. I'm shooting to be probably around the 750 mark when it's all said and done. That blower is big enough that with an 8 rib setup and an OD crank pulley, you should be able to use a blower pulley larger enough that you'll never have to worry about belt slip.

Belt slip is always going to be an issue with big boost, your best bet is to run a COG setup on an F-1R. The D upgrade is not that great, you will be much better served by the FR. As you know the powerband is higher in a centri-blown cars, but for taking to the strip its better in a lot of ways or at least easier I should say.

A COG setup is always an option, but from what I've heard their isn't a kit for the 2v's, it will take some custom work. As far as the blower, anyone I've talked to has said that size blower really outclasses the 2v. Our engines don't really have the power to spin an F1-R without problems. Besides, that's the blower that I believe the SSO guys are running, you don't need that much power. I think either an 8 rib or a COG'd F1-a will do you just fine, if you want a bit more, jump up to a C, but I wouldn't go with an R.
edit: And by the way, and F1-a is the only one of the three that has the same 9" volute diameter as your P1-SC, the other two are a 9.75". The case is different, I believe, and therefore you'd have to buy a new head unit rather than upgrading the unit you have now.

The blower outclasses the 4.6 in general. The 2v vs. 4v stuff is BS.

Yes it is, which is why I'm going with the cheaper option of building a 2v rather than doing the swap.

The thought of an F-1a under the hood makes me smile. I hope you have a built motor, cause just the P-1sc has more power potential than a stock 2v 4.6. I say before you get sold on upgrading the blower, consider a 3.2 Reichard Racing pulley and an AFM powerpipe. Depending on your setup, you should be in the 14-15 psi range. If thats not enough, maybe some methanol/water injection. Even with all that you wouldn't even be close to the cost of a blower upgrade, and you would be making comparable power. When I spoke with Procharger a year ago (I was considering upgrading my P-1sc as well) it was like 1500 just for the D, and they told me if I wasn't running OVER 20psi, the F series would be worthless.
