Traction Control Question
Installing the switch is easy, having it actually do anything will be rather complex...
You will need ABS brakes if you don't have them, an ABS module that supports traction control, and have the tune altered as well.

abs light could mean your fluid is low, pads are worn, or a more serious problem. you want to watch out though, sometimes when the light is on, your abs won't function. you will still have brakes, but if you have to slam on them, they may not go into anti-lock, which could be bad if you were counting on that.
as far as the switch not working, do you mean it doesn't turn TC off if you hit the switch or is the "off" light always on?
also, with your sig, not trying to be mean, but saying off road pipe and no cats is redundant as they mean the same thing.

That reminds me of the time I stumped a Ford mechanic. I had just gotten the mustang, and it being an 04, assumed it had abs. I dropped the car off at the dealer to get some work done, and after having locked up the wheels a couple of times (snowbirds lol), also to find out why the abs wasn't working. I finally got the call that the car was done, went to pick it up, and the service manager was telling me that the mechanic was about to pull his hair out trying to find the abs module before they finally came to the conclusion that it didn't have abs on it in the first place.

...just now looking at the Red Book I see that ABS was listed as a $730 option in 2004. There is no ABS option listed for 2001, 2002, or 2003--it was optional in 1999 and 2000 ($500)...
i thought abs was standard equip too but i know for sure that the trac control it optional as my mothers car doesnt have it and mine does, both being 04's and +1 on the $730 up charge but they list abs braking sys/traction ctrl on the same $730.
