He blew it up at the drag strip actually took out 2 cylinders. J-B weld works on cracks not on holes aparently. The engine sounded like an air compressor when it was running because they did such a bad job. One cylinder had no (zero) compression.

Bramas, great list, but what did the 32v come out of and what harness did you use? This is something I've been doing some research on for an 01 GT Auto. What engine would I need to get my hands on? 99/01 Cobra, Mach 1, any Ford 32v? Would a 99/01 cobra harness plug up to the body? Ditto for the mach 1?

The list you put forward, would this be applicable in my instance as well?

go get a 03 cobra motor and do worry about the internals. your gonna want to build an ENTIRE NEW engine though cuz its much easier to assemble a new engine than disassemble and reassemble your old engine

Not trying to hijack here, but I was of a similar mind as to the rebuild. Whatever engine I would end up with would be rebuilt to accomodate for a S/C, but I'm wondering as to the small details of what would need to be changed.....a 32v wont just drop in without there being some changes in the accepting chassis.....

-The GT hood will rub on intake not bad you can shut the hood but it will rub so Cobra hood or Cowl hood
-My GT strut tower will not fit anymore
-Get the engine bay wiring harness
-There is a difference between the GT and Cobra T45 I don't know what it is. My GT transmission turned out to be junk after I got the engine in the car of course So I'm in the process of putting a Cobra T45 in right now. But I was driving it with the GT one in it until lst Saturday.
-The secondary air pumps will not work unless you get the wiring for them. My harness did not come with it so they are not even hooked up. These are the pumps in the front of the engine that put fresh air into the exhaust so you don't kill little birdy's.
I can't think of anything else right now, it realy wasn't that bad of a swap the hardest part was trying to figure out that thermostat housing only because I didn't have any reference to look at.
How hard is it to find the Wiring and ECM For the swap
