Default question about mgw vs triax

I am still debating which one to go with, i have read all the previous posts and its still hard to decide. I wish i could feel them both before buying, but obviously that cant happen, and i'm sure either way i'll be happy. So, I guess, my deciding factor will be ease of install. I have heard that some shifters you have to mod the boots, cut this or that, leave out this or that which makes stuff noisy. Between the mgw and triax, is their any modding or leaving out parts or are they both just simple bolt on?

The steeda tri-ax is very easy to install and bolts in existing shifter spot. It comes with new bolts and everything you need.

Yeah, it was a PITA to install, but not hard at all...

Grab one from our sponsor with a shifter gasket. Will cut down on noise and heat, VERY good idea.

MGW was a slam-dunk only taking about an hour. Of course I am going to be partial to MGW since that is what I run, so I realistically cannot speak on behalf of Steeda other than saying that they have very good products, and I have read many positive posts regarding their shifters here. MGW does come with bolts, a tube of OEM High-Temp Sealant, Allen wrench, and even shifter gasket FYI. I am very satisfied with my MGW….

I just ordered a mgw shifter. Was going to get the triax, but saw so many awesome reviews for the new mgw. I guess now they only have the gold handle, no more choice between red/blue. You get the best of both worlds with it. Anyway, I came across this guy's website and instead of using the RTV or sealant you use his gasket which is less messy and quieter. Just wondering if anybody has used it and if its as sweet as he says.

I had both the tri ax and the mgw and i like both of them but i prefer the mgw because it feels better and more solid then the tri ax and it is a tad shorter. They both took me about an hour to put in because i wasnt in a rush. I recommand the mgw blue handle if there still doin that thing.
