Default my MK VIII engine: question

so i picked up a '98 MK VIII engine last week and im getting it ready for a swap into my 2001 gt. i have a couple questions though, since the engine was already pulled from the lincoln when i bought it, i cannot reference where some things go.

i know the red is vacuum
what is the blue? its too long to be a PCV i think.
the green are heater hoses but which one is inward/outward flow?

I am guessing the blue is PCV and I wouldn't think the flow would matter that much, but I am just speculating.

yeah i wouldnt think that flow direction would matter either but then again it matters in the hvac system inside the car so it might as well in the engine...just a thought. i also dont think it is pcv because i have both of those already...

Sorry I missed this. The blue is the power brake booster on the Mark VIII. Cap it. The red controls the EGR and fuel pressure goodies, they all hook into that one area. Yellow are your heater hoses.

i have another question regarding this MK VIII engine: i pulled the intake manifold and imrcs off last night to clean out the mouse nest from the valley (yay). and rather than tie the imrc butterflies open, i decided to just remove the butterfly valves. ok no problem but i was contemplating buying new gaskets for the intake and the imrc plates, but they looked really good so i just reused the gaskets. is this acceptable? when i replaced my cracked intake on my 2v i reused my old gaskets and had no problems.

Most of the time, it's acceptable, but I usually change them for good measure. Rather spend the money than have a vacuum leak later.
