vortech question

Vortech doesn't reprogram the computer they install a chip, at least thats what they did on mine which is a canned tune, so no you do not need a dyno tune. However with the chip I wasn't able to use my handheld tuner to change my gear ratio turn of my rear 02s etc, so I ended up pulling the chip and having it dyno tuned anyway.

Yes you can run safely on the chip, it a conservative canned tune the tune is based on the the information you provide Vortech. A dyno tune is making adjustments to your cars timing, fuel and air supply, to achieve the most possible horse power and torque, while maintaining optimal air fuel ratio and avoiding detonation. Do a google search on dyno tuning and you can good idea of what all is involved

good point, but vortech does offer a 3 year warranty if you run their tune, so they must be confident it's safe.

ok thanks for clearing that up for me. If I run a v3 with the aftercooler system, will my stock internals be safe, or would they need to be upgraded? does changing the charger pulley size increase boost level to where internals need to be upgraded?
