I'll make this real simple. I've got a 96 GT M5 and was wondering what kind of HP and possibly 1/4 e.t.'s this motor combo would put down:

*96-98 4.6 block
*ported (and shaved?) PI heads
*mild aftermarket cams
*PI intake
*stock internals (cobra crank?)
*long tubes
*75mm TB
*aftermarket upper plenum
*k&n fipk
*3.73's ( 40- 50 mi. daily driver)
* nitto dr's
*handheld or dyno tuned

i know this sounds crazy but i need to know if its possible to beat my friends ss camaro without blowing too much cash. i cant afford a blower, and i wont even think about nitrous. i want to stay NA.!!!!!!

 

I'll tell you when i get back from the track haha, thats like everything i have. I have a lil more but not the mild cam, which would net you like 10 HP anyways. You didnt mention U/D pulleys, Short shifter. Why not do an A/C delete? You need suspension work to see any good times when your producing that much more HP over stock. Drag springs, CC plates, lower control arms, shocks and struts. W/ all those mods and suspension I think its possible to see high 12's. On a great day w/ a great driver.

 

Nittos are junk, get the BFG and you will hook alot harder. What does your buddy have done to his SS? Tell me his mods and I can give you a good idea of what it runs.

 

my ss friend has an ehaust cut out and aftermarket maf sensor. brand new falken treads too. M6 with 75000 miles.

 

It's a 13.0-12.9 car if it can hook. I am not sure if those mods you listed would get you there or not, maybe sombody else can answer that.
