What do subframe Connectors do?

Default What do subframe Connectors do?

I have just lowered my 01 GT with Steeda Sport Lowering Spring and I also installed the Steeda X2 Ball joints. Wanna better my suspension and still keep my good ride quality. What are the subframe Connectors and what do they do? Will i sacrafice my ride quality ? Any?

I have steeda's "full length" subframe connectors. They connect (obviously) your front and rear subframes to increase chassis stiffness and eliminate chassis flex. Always a good idea on a lowered car, and especially on convertibles which tend to have more body flex due to their lack of any over head framing. Mine are still wainting to go on. Gonna take them to the shop and have them welded in....
