I just got a chin spoiler for my 01 GT about 2 days ago and it was a very easy install. I matched the chin spoiler flush with the wheel wells instead of the front. It just didnt look right when the front was matched flush with the bumper and the wheel wells werent. Are the chin spoilers supposed to sit back about 1/2" in the center and be flush with the wheel wells? Thanks.

Yes, thats how mine fit, thats how all the instructions I have found say, and thats how they look on the Mach 1 from the factory.

i had mine on flush with the bumper because i didnt think it looked right sitting back from the bumper IMO. It doesnt really matter how you put it on its just a matter of how you think it looks best.

I am still waiting on mine to come in, has been on back order sence early june [:@][:'(], and I still don't know when it is going to come in, I really want one, I think that they really look good on the GT's.

Cancel your order and order one from thefordsource.com...I got mine about 5 days after I ordered it.

i have mine flush with the front bumper i think it looks the best there. you dont even notice that it is a quater inch foward from the wheel wells.

Mine from the factory is about about 1/8" back from the wheel wells and maybe 1/16" back from the front bumper cover.

That`s what I did notice after the installation and I was like **** but there is no other way to align it with the wheel wells.
