Hey, what are the Mechanic Labor Hours worth in your area?? I know where I'm from it costs me $78 an HOUR to just Diagonose a problem with my car...
It's easier to come on here, ask around, or better yet, search the Archives of Threads to see if I can find someone else who has had similar, if not the SAME issue as I supposedly had, and then work from there..
It's cheaper, and 9 times outta 10, people on here are nicer, and won't screw you, since they're not working for commission, or any type of repayment... It's supposed to be friendly here...

Ford wants 54 bucks just to plug the computer up. Ridiculous. Im not going to pay somebody 50 bucks an hour with no guarantee that it will fix the problem.
Plus the experience of doing it yourself is as important for me. I like studying what is going on and learning about the different systems that are in/on the engine.
I wasn't suprised to see that you had a 96 Apoc. Ive researched this a little and found that this seems to be a somewhat common problem. The remedies Ive tried have all improved the performance of past owners with the same problem. I just haven't tried all of them yet. Ill let you know if I find the Holy Grail when I find it.
