I have tried unplugging my MAF sensor and engine check light does not come on. The engine idles and runs okay, unless you stomp on gas pedal. When I plugged it back on the car runs much better.

Why no warning light came on???? How would I know if something goes bad in the system?

The bulb is working, it will light up when you turn on ignition.

 

Drive with it unplugged, it will come on trust me. Your car will also have a lot more pep to it haha.

 

CEL will pop up after the car has driven for several minutes with a problem. ONE misfire will not trigger a CEL, but 5 minutes of driving with misfires will.

stop doing your own diagnostics for non-existant problems, your going to break something.

 

If it aint broke, don't fix it.

 

Can I ask why we are unplugging things to see if the engine light comes on? And yea it takes a while. I forgot to plug mine in before and drove all day before it came on.
