Default NO2 vs PI manifold

i realize that i cant have a huge shot of nitrous on a PI manifold without cracking it. How much of a shot would you think a stock manifold could hold without fracturing??

I'll go ahead and agree with dime... Id go with a 100 wet shot and get a nitrous tune + window switch

Just like dimebag said, at least 125. Nitrous is not going to necessarily fracture your intake manifold. What you have probably heard of is stories about fuel and nitrous pooling in the intake creating a small explosion outside of the combustion chambers. If this happens it doesn't matter if the intake is plastic or not, its going to be blown right off the motor. I may be wrong here but i believe that the majority of manifolds that crack are actually problems related to coolant temperatures and maybe high pressure, this is why they sell the one with the aluminum cross over. I have been running a 75 shot for over two years now with no problems at all. Make sure your using a window switch. I got the zex unit, it is cheap, digital, and you can change your settings on the fly. I have mine set to turn on at 3100 rpm, and turn off at 5900. Always make sure your engine and transmission are completely warm before you get on it. Good luck, have fun!

Like ^^ said. And that can only happen with a wet shot. If your using a dry shot there is only nitrous and no fuel.

That being said I wouldnt use over a 125 shot on a stock engine. most people will say thats your upper end of the safe zone.

I've been running a 100 shot (power is more like a 125 shot though) on the stock intake for 2 years now with no issues.

100 shot for over a year. Intake manifold is stock W/O coolant cross over.

Stock intake here as well. Been using 125 shot, wet kit, for over 2 years now.
