Default e-brake unhooked?

alright so i just bought an 01 vert gt about a month ago from a used car lot and apparently the prior owners unhooked the e brake which im guessing is because they was too lazy to have to come to a complete stop and engage the e brake to put the top down, so my question is: where is the most likely spot in the brake system that they unhooked it at?

umm yeah i just fixed my e-brake 2 days ago and it was a bitch sorry bro. Best guess would be to take out the centre console see if you can't pull the cable (The one thats wound by the parking brake) well first off see if you even have the rear cable, if not its about $50 yep, that hooks to the lower left side of the parking brake assembly, its kind of hard to explain but you should be able to see how it hooks. The bad news is if you do need a new cable you probably have to take off your driveshaft. I did i broke a 12 point 12mm socket lol. Its not hard theres only 4 bolts and you only have to take the one side off.

goodluck.

More than likely it's broken not disconnected. Also I would check your used car laws If you bought this off a car lot I would think they would have to fix the e-brake. I would assume this would be considered a safety issue which they would be required by law to fix and probably should have before giving it to you
