Default So how much can it take?

I know how to drive standard, VERY well... but my car has got issues with it's T-45...

I'll be driving, upshifting and downshifting fine, but at random times, even if I have the clutch ALL the way down, it grinds when I put it into gear. Most of the time, basically all, this is 4th gear that grinds.

How much can the transmission take of this "abuse"? I don't really beat on my car, and I don't even shift fast when this grinding takes place. How bad is this grinding? I'd imagine it's horrible, based on the noise that basically ruins my day.

Yes, Kernsx21x is right, it could be the synchro. Maybe try double clutching when you put it into fourth?

Crusing in third gear, push in clutch, put it in neutral, release clutch, press clutch again, put it in fourth? Is that how you suggest? Just to clarify

Yeah... Idk if that would work or not... But I'd give it a shot.
