Default going to the track, any advise on shift points etc?

taking the stang for the first time on wed., ive only ever launched it 1 time racing an lt1 camaro, and that was before my gears. other than that i havent really messed with racing it at all

im not new to drag racing, i have a vw corrado ive put about 25 passes on, but its front wheel drive and runs mid 14's

any advice on air pressure/shiftpoints/launching rpms? my mods and whp are in my sig

tires are hankook ventus v4es 245/45/17 with alot of meat left on them

Skip the waterbox since you're rolling on street tires, I launch around 3k RPM and shift at 5300. Seems to work the best for me. I'm sure some of the more knowledgeable members here will chime in.

i usually go around the water and do a small one to clean the tires off.

5300 seems low though. il have to look at my dyno sheet and see where the power dropped
