nitrous helpp
i went to the track friday and i have dry nitrous i put the jet before the maf and it kept freezing it or somthing because it would die at the end of the track then start back up and i was running a 13.5 so moved it up near the throttle body and it ran a 13.2 i ran it one more time and used it like 30 feet of the line ran a 13.0 and it died but i was wondering y because it wasnt in front of the maf and when i tryed to start it i floored it and had a nitrouse backfire and granaded my intake now i was wondering if there is some reason y it stoped running other then its blown up because my intake was half gone and i drove it home and i wanna no if i will be able to put a new intake on and if anyone thinks it will be fine or it was blown up to begin with i dont wanna put it togeather to tear it apart again o btw one of my plugs were folded over idk i the piston hit it or what

HOLY RUN-ON SENTENCES BATMAN!
Sucks that happened man, your nozzle should be between the MAF and the throttle body. If your nitrous shuts off randomly that's a solenoid issue. They're probably gunked up somehow. Also how was your bottle pressure?

Between the cracked intake manifold and mashed spark plug it sounds like you had a sh!tty day, sorry to hear about that. Why was your nozzle mounted so far back, by the MAF? I thought the wet system nozzles were supposed to pretty much universally go just before the almost 90* turn leading to the throttle body. Regarding your question about putting on a new intake, I'm pretty sure you should be able to replace it (and spark plugs too) and be fine, but the smashed plug you had scares me a little. All you can do is try, right?

its a dry kit thats y i tryed to put it b4 the maf but it kept freezing the maf so thats y i put it after i have tht one bad plug and the one on the oposite side (both cylindars in the back) has been hit because the plugs gap was closed but idk i guess ill see what happens im gunna do a compresion test in case i leaned the motor out when the intake has gone but if thats good im gunna try a new intake and go from there i guess

like i said i had it b4 the maf but it kept dieing and i got sick of having to wait or it tostart and not finishing the 1/4 but i have bigger injectors so it shouldnt of run it too lean but idk i had a back fire and granaded the intake so idk whats wrong with it or if thats the only issue

and its impossible to have a backfire and grenade the intake with a dry shot. so i don't know what to tell you. did this "backfire" happen to be after you sprayed the nitrous after the maf?

A dry system HAS to be installed before the MAF, if not, the computer has no way of knowing how much fuel the engine needs. Thats why you had a backfire, because it was way lean. As far as the MAF freezing up, take the screen out of it, then there is no where for ice to form & choke off the air flow.
