well i took my car to have an inspection sticker (Mass.) and it failed because they couldn't connect throught OBD plug. they said they were not making a valid connection and they want me to go to another inspection station they set-up for me, that has some other type of tool.

i checked the fuses they are all good. the car has an aftermarket stereo, not sure if thet matters.

any help is appreciated.

this won't help you but here in Illinois...the other tool they send us to are actual "sniffers" that read the exhaust coming out, instead of just using the OBD. I've heard of them sending heavily modded cars to the sniffer because they know the tune will read a false emission number and they let cars through without cats so when they send them to the sniffer then they can fine you for emission violations.....hope that isn't your case.

i dont know why they can't read through your OBD port. it may be your car or it may be their tool...

Take it to autozone and have them pull codes...just to see if a nother scanner reads your car

i think i may try that at autozone. driving me nuts to drive it with a rejection sticker.
