Hey ducky, is you car a 5 speed or auto?? If you have a auto, I would suggest that maybe you get a shift kit, and stall converter!! You can get a shift kit for $100 or so and on e-bay look for a stall, and you can pick one up for a $2-400, that would leave you $3-400 for the install. If you have a 5 speed, I would get the Steeda UDP's, sub-frame connectors, upper/lower control arms, before you get the cams, so when you do get them you can put that power to the ground!!
I have to agree on the auto options, but the idea (UDPs, etc) is good for an auto, too. Nice thing about the second option is that you can do most of the work yourself. The subs will require some minor welding on most kits I've seen.

Okay, this is where I show my age:

I have to agree with mom & dad on the nitrous. I've read two posts in the last day or so from younger guys whacking inanimate objects with their cars without nitrous. It's not that they were bad drivers, just inexperienced. There's really so much that can go wrong out there. Driving experience (I don't mean racing, either) gives you the skills to compensate. A few years of solid driving experience makes all the difference in the world. My folks were smarter than I was. My first car was a '79 notchback with an 88 HP, 2.3 with a single carb and an auto - not enough HP to power-brake that puppy. We ALL want to have fun, but none of us want anyone to get hurt.

Enjoy your car. Be safe and have loads of fun. No rushing. You'll still like to go fast when you're old like me!
