A hissing sound

Default A hissing sound

Ok i notice when i start up my car it does this like hissing sound it comes and goes.. but i think after it has ran a little while it stops.. anyone know what this could be?

What kind of hiss? Leaky tire hiss, angry cat hiss, or an Alien that is fixing to cocoon you?

Could be a vacuum leak, or the a/c system, or a pulley going bad.

Its not a tire hissing.. more like an Alien. its pretty loud and noticeable. sounds like its right under my door.. Ah yeah my A/c isnt very good

Also would i have anyproblem installing a 75mm throttle body if mines stock?

tb install is a cake walk, and check your midpipe.

the TB is a bolt on, so no (unless you have the stock air intake, which will still work but will be hard to stretch).. Have you had any exhaust work done to your car?

Yeah i had full exhuast done not sure about headers yet ill have to check.. and k&n full system. i just notice that when i read on americanmuscle.com on the 75mm tB's it says for heavily modified gts because the stock ones do not flow enough or something like that.

more than likely the hissing is an exhaust leak. TB's are bolt on.. to get the full impact of a 75mm TB and Plenum you would need other addon's, but those are not nessesary to put it on.
