Default what mods do I have?

Hi I'm new here ( see https://mustangforums.com/forum/new-...rd-family.html if you care to) and I am not sure what a few things are on my newly-acquired Mustang.

i'll attach the same scan from my welcome post, but I am not sure what everything is. specifically, the first 5 things on the list (is that all rear-end stuff?), mega-bite alignment plates, and the predator thing. is that the tuning program? he said the car was tuned on the dyno and is specifically tuned for 91 octane, not 89, not 93, but 91 only.

the shop is right down the road from me, and even though this was all done in 2005 i might have them give the car a once-over mechanically, to see if everything is still cool.

drives great, but I'm just wondering if people can help me figure out what's on my new car!

thanks.

Buddy, this seems pretty self explanatory.

Moonshine nailed it right on the money. Because the first 5 that are listed and you asked about are just different components to a built rear end......Just like it says at the bottom of the paper "Labor - gearset install & traction rebuild".

don't apologize, internet people can be mean

it looks like you have 4.10 gears out back, which is a more aggressive setup geared for acceleration. you also have subframe connectors, which turn the chassis into a unibody (makes it drive much better!). Along with some springs, swaybar, and a strut tower brace, you have some good suspension mods. Judging from the receipt, the shocks are stock, and have just been replaced. However, if you take a picture of them I could tell you for sure whether they are stock or not. The predator is just a handheld tuner, so it sounds like the tune is designed for 91... but it's odd because I'd think it would accept 93 no problem, just nothing lower than 91. enjoy the car man! they're a lot of fun.. and with the right mods you can be blowing the doors off fbodies all day

and, correct me if im wrong, but to me it seems like the differential was rebuilt, which is a very good thing cuz they're prone to be creaky under turning and noisy under acceleration in lower gears

predator is a handheld tuner. did that come with the car or did he keep the tuner? if he kept it he probably unmated it and there LIKELY isnt a tune on your car.

like said, if its tuned for 91 you can definately use 93 octane, just don't run anything lower than 91. alot of people have a hard time finding 93 octane gas pumps so they tune for 91, but running 93 won't hurt anything at all, will just cost you a little more money.

and yeah those mods are pretty much self explanitory.

alright hey thanks for all the help guys. i know I can read the sheet and what was done, just wasn't too sure what everything was. I'm no mechanic, but I want to learn more about this stuff it's fascinating, and I agree, would be nice to give the old man's ls1 F-body a run for its money! he's all stock though, maybe I've already got him?

the shocks are the adjustable kind, it came with a tool to adjust. i will check for the diablosport tuner, but no he did not give me the little handheld PDA-looking thing that I see in pictures of it.

thanks again, this car is great! definitely more fun than the LT1 I had... there's just somethin' about a mustang. I'm preaching to the choir here though

You got some of the basic must haves already. I'd try to get ahold of the handheld tuner.. it would be very convenient to have handy.

And I cant tell from your post, but if your cars a 5spd, you should have your old man's LS1 beat until about 90-100mph, assuming you arent afraid to stretch your car's legs
