Default differences in covers?

I there any real difference between the $100. pumpkin covers and the ones costing $20.-$30. Mine is leaking so I will either reuse the stock one or pick up a little eye candy and get a inexpensive shinny one

It's sort of like the difference between night and day...

The cheap shiny ones are just polished or plated clones of the OEM pressed aluminum covers (or actual polished/plated OEM covers).

The $100+ units are cast aluminum, generally with jack-screws to supply additional support to the differential carrier bearing caps, and to generally stiffen up the whole assembly...
