i cant believe how much the ford kit cost, $485 reg. $368 new on ebay, used on ebay $200. im a tool maker so i can understand it could cost that much to make it and sell it and make profit on something that usually only used by professional mechanics, but than a pack of 10 insert cost $100. anyways ill post on how i make out with it, thanks for the help
Makes a $40 1/4" drive torque wrench look pretty cheap. doesn't it...

thanks for the help guys! i got it fixed, took me about 2.5hours start to finish with the timesert kit, works great. it could be done in much less but its not worth getting chips in the cylinder, i would go 2.. 3 turns at the most then take the tool out clean it and repack it with grease. im now running 8psi to it and its never ran better, other than the spark plug issue, the mod. motors r just amazing!

Cool...

You will not be sorry you used a Timsert--did you buy a 1/4" torque wrench yet?
