I have been looking at either 17 x 9 and 17. 10.5 for the rear. Tirerack and discount tire both recommend 275/40/17 for both size rims. It seems odd to recommend the same width tire for rims 1.5" different in size.

What do most people use on the 10.5? (size and manufacturer)

I need some sizes to make the search easier.

Any help would be appreciated.

i would run 275's to 315's on the 17x10s and run 255 or 265 on the front if you planning on lowering it later

I run 315/35/17 BFG drag radials on my 17x10.5 rims.

This is going to depend if you want to run a d/r, or not. The biggest size that I could find in BFG G-Force KDW was 285 for the rear. So I am running the same size rims with a 245/40/17 on the front and 285/45/17 on the rear in the BFG G-Force KDW's, I really like these tires and would recommond them to anyone

when I had my 18x10.5's I put 295's on them, I used toyo proxie ts-1's and they were awesome! they fit perfect
