plenum and TB

RE: plenum and TB
No tune necessary. A plenum is nothing more than a secondary intake. Obviously the more air it allows into the manifold, the more gas the computer tells the injectors to send and the more power you generate. Throttle bodies and plenums are a strange breed as some recommend 70mm TB with their plenum (Accufab) and some recommend 75mm with their plenum. Make sure you have the optimum set-up by asking your plenum mfg for their specific recommendation for your year Mustang.

TB, plenum, CAI install......cake! The battery disconnect is a definite necessity. Do not forget this everytime you modify or change any parts on your engine. One note on the whole TB/plenum thing. You will notice that much of the hardware connections are accomplished with small, brass looking bolts with a head of about 1/4" or so. You will be also working with "aluminum" parts as well. Aluminum can distort when over torked with heavy rachets. Use only a 1/4" rachet drive on this hardware and you will have no problems whatsoever. There are a couple of larger nuts you will need the regular drive on to properly loosen but mostly you should stick with the 1/4" drive. Other than that the whole job is a cake walk. I changed plenum, TB, IAC and K&N/wind silencer delete in 30 minutes.

Fantastic advice. Simple, but worth noting.
I'll be installing my Plenum/TB next week, thanks a ton!

RE: plenum and TB
Thanks for all the replies guys. I am thinking of ordering the plenum, do you think its worth it? I already have a CAI and Borla exaust. Thats it. What else might I do for around the same money for best results? I am looking for cheap hp to put it bluntly. The military does not pay me enuff or I would have just bought me a Cobra. Thanks again.
