"BRB" Installed!

"BRB" Installed!
Well finally got everything buttoned up and finished tonight. This is for a Push Start button install. I made it so the button is not so obvious and stick out like a sore thumb. The switch you see is only an arming switch that feeds the push start button (which is hidden). I plan to make the arming switch a little less bulky looking and recess it into the coin holder hole.
Onto the pics!
This is what you will be dealing with...there is not much slack in these wires but you need to join the 2 GY/YE wires when doing this install.
I used a thin piece of plexi-glass I got from Home Depot to mount my arming switch:
The black you see is just vinyl sticker I had laying around...spray paint would have chipped very easily:
Here is where I put the Bush Button. It started as a 1"x1/8"x2' flat plate that I bent in a "C" shape and bolted it to the bottom of the cup holder. The other hole is an access hole for a screwdriver to get at the Phillips bolt which secures it to the console:
FINISHED!
I did not get a pic of it, but the "tongue" on the rubber cup holder has structural ribbing that I cut out/off so the tongue would bend freely and hit my switch. If you take yours out you will see what I mean.
That's it! I can still use the key since I only tapped into the WH/PK wire under the dash (starter wire) If I cut it, only the button will start the car. I will wait a while before doing that to see how this holds up.
Here is the diagram that Cliff has that has helped me out:

I put the key to "ON" position, flip the toggle switch, and push down on the cup holder tongue to start 'er up! Flip the switch off to just the juice to the Starter button and away go!

that is pretty sweet. I like mine better though... i have mine in my 2nd litter spot, which is right by my gear leaver. I just pull a **** and the starter runs and then push it back in to kill the starter. The only big issue is that it doesn't have the neutral/park safety so you have much sure it is not in gear yourself... doesn't take a genius to do that.

OK so the camera is good for taking pictures but worse than Rosie Odonnell's voice for videos....
