Default Pulling the engine/tranny/LT combo. Out the top, or out the bottom?

Trying to get the engine, transmission and long tubes out as a combo because my TOB is shot. Rather than even attempt to change the throw-out bearing and clutch fork, I am going to pull the whole combo out and probably put some PI heads on my 98 GT. I am almost to the point of pulling the combo out, but I am seeking guidance of which way to go. It looks doable from the top and probably easier, I just don't want to get halfway through the pull and find out that I have to take it out the bottom.

I don't have a lift, but I have dropped the cradle on a N* cadillac before, so I have the means of doing it either way.

My guess would b through the bottom. The cross member is real easy to take off and the longtube r a big pain n the ***.

It LOOKS like I have clearance out the top, but I just cant tell. I would much prefer to take em out the top since I don't want to mess with the rack and pinion, or the brake lines or the alignment.

But don't u think u'll struggle quite a bit with the LT's and the tranny still bolted on. It just seems easier to me taking them out the bottom

Well, I am at the moment of truth. Going to try out the top. Will let you know the results. Need food and the sun to go down, too freaking hot to pull it right now.

Lol. That's wat I was thinking. Tomorrow I'm going to try to get my engine out with the LT's still on. I'm just going to unbolt my steering shaft n try to take it all out at once

I just did my motor swap 2 weeks ago. I pulled it all out through the top and dropped it back in through the top it wasnt hard at all. It went right in to my surprise. I took out the fan radiator and overflow tank which was like 5 bolts total.
