you know how you have to drop the hood of your mustang high up, to have it latch. like drop it a foot up in the air. sooo my question is, is there a way to make it latch easier, so you dont have to slam it down. perferably, i dont want to replace the latch. maybe put a smaller spring in there?????? has anyone solved this problem?? o yeaa the 99-04 mustangs im talking about. idk if the same latch is used with the 05+'s or the older sn95's.

 

For 5 years I have been dropping the hood from high to get it to latch. I've tried everything, but nothing has worked. Just keep dropping it. No harm - no foul.

 

sounds like a plan, it just bugs me to have to drop it like that, feel like im hurting the car.

 

Mine does it too...there has to be a simple fix. I actually haven't ever paid it much mind, but it does bother me a bit now.

 

my 97 is like this too, but i hope i don't have to open the hood enought to worry about it.
