Take a look at Steeda, too. They have quality set ups and may have the look you want. I would avoid MAC anything.
True dat!

Think about it..... Ford has gone to all the time and expense of designing, manufacturing and installing that snorkel to make sure the engine gets nice cool air from the fender well instead of that ugly, power robbing hot air from under the hood... Why do you suppose they'd do that when we all know they'd sell their mother for 2 cents?

Hot intake air increases the potental for detonation (detstroys engines) and robs horsepower. I think it's something like 1 hp for every 10 degrees.

Kenne Bell feels so strongly about it that they will void the warranty on their blower if you draw air in from under the hood.

Get a quality CAI that goes into the fenderwell like the "Tunable Induction" www.demolet.com or the Kenne Bell CAI www.kennebell.net

I’ll agree with you there, will also say that K&N has been in the business of R&D and manufacturing filters for a good many years now. I run the FIPK and don’t have any complaints. I think that performance-wise, a plastic (or nonmetallic) fender mounted CAI will yield slightly better performance gains than its metal competitors, or those that suck from the engine bay (liker the K&N), but the gains are again minimal.

I chose the FIPK for the simple reason that the ease of access (to the filter) for maintenance appealed to me more than the 1 or 2 HP differences for the fender-mounted units.
