Default Serious transmission help

I have a 01 mustang that i have conveted about 5 years ago from a auto to a manual. I was told they used a year 2000 transmission whatever that is. Ever since i had it done the clutch pedal has been super hard and feels a little funny. I know they used parts from another mustang. I have a centerforce dual friction clutch. My brother uses the same clutch and his is way lighter then mine. Can something else be wrong besides the clutch. Also it is new cable. I just so get why his is so light prepared to mine. Can it be the trans they used. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Check the condition of the TOB and bearing retainer on the transmission
