Default 3v swap..trying to be different

Long story short a guy near me has an 08 california special motor with 8k miles.wants $1500 with accesories and the injector harness. I know about the logan motorsports kit for 3v swaps. and right now im just looking into this a little, anyone know how hard this would be? or anything about the swapfor that matter? i think it would be prett neat, and they easily do 370+ n/a.

its very easy, their website says everything you need to do (which isnt much to do the swap, the cam gears you'll probably have to have a shop do) and if you need more direction beyond that i dunno wut to tell you. i did have a couple "technical" questions for LM when i was considering the swap but after several emails and no responses i said f*** it. my questions were:

1) do you retain cruise control (i would assume so, but they never clarified and i will NOT have a car without CC)
2) can you use longtube headers or will there be clearance issues with the exhaust adapters.

those were 2 big things i considered with the swap and since they never gave me any clarification, i dropped it and started going the SC route (which i had to sell right after i got everything together cuz of my damn GF) since it was cheaper and gave more ponies than 3v swapping.

you will also have to get a tune, and you should probably get new gears if you have stockers.

i also wondered about that. I know i will need to get a cowl hood, cobra throttle body, bracket, and throttle cable. a guy on modular fords did it and said the headers touch the frame ( we dont have a frame but i get the idea) im sure you could beat it in a tad if need be.

also from what i Understand you dont hjave to cut/splice as many wires as you would for a 4v.

i have 4.10's so i think i should be fine, 3v's only rev to what? mid 6000's?

if i have the moola i will do cams at the same time as the swap.

3v revs same as a 2v. Different headers stick out further than others. What headers did he have?

cant find it fisher, help me? lol

from whati've read i just have to get the VVT locked out with bolts, some adapter plates for the headers. a cobra throttle body and cable. and the rest is alittle splicing like the 4v stuff

totally agree SVT,but id like to be a little different if possible lol.plus the 3v is 60lbs lighter, which i just recently learned.

its not bolts. you can either go cheap and buy some lockout plug thingies (which are NOT to be used with high hp cars), or get 350+$ cam gears. then all the adapter plates and stuff.

and there should be zero cutting and splicing, and no where on logans website does it say that.

and btw i dont think the 3v is actually lighter than the 2v motor. the block itself is 60lbs lighter IIRC but the weight of the 3v heads and everything compensates.
