Ok what year did they come out with the pi heads? I know the 96's had problems with the air flow, but I thought they fixed it in 97. My 97 runs great, but the brass fitting that holds the temperature sensor came out and it is originally press fitted into the plastic manifold. So I am looking through the internet and there's a lot of talk of what fits a 4.6 with p.i. heads. Wat years is that? I just bought a manifold from Autozone and the guy was also talking about it. He said i could upgrade the manifold and get more horse power from a different manifold. Do I have the pi heads and did I get the good manifold? It does look different from stock because it has the metal water channel for the coolant. Does anybody know whats going on here? Please help even if you think you know let me know what you think.

try to get heads from late 01-04 though, they are romeo heads and you will be able to use your stock valve covers, cam bolts and the four bolts that go into the head from the timing chain cover. The 99-00 are Windsor style heads, they have a different valve cover bolt configuration.
Its not a big deal, but there is a few small parts you'll need to do a pi swap like alternator bracket, heater hose, and you'll need to tap and die a hole in the aluminum crossover because your car has two coolant sensors were pi cars have one and you need both (one is the gauge in your car and the other controls the pcm)
