When you say that the damn car wont move an inch, are you referring to the calipers not closing?

Did you bleed the master cylinder? Same sh*t happened to me. You need to bleed the two valves on the master cyclinder as well as bleed the brakes.

Let us know how it comes out. I'm having a complete Cobra upgrade installed in just over a week after my gears arrive. I'd like to know what I may be facing.

OK PROBLEM SOLVED.

The washers that came with the new bango bolts are only half as thick. and the directions i used never said to double them up. When i first attempted merdicks recomendation. the bolts on each side would'nt seal and leaked fluid. so i drove down to my ford dealer and they hooked me up w/ OE thickness washers. I nstalled them to SPEC torque (30lbs).

So FYI to all who upgrade to 10 anniversary front calipers use Fords bango bolt washers only.

WHO KNEW A WASHER COULD SEIZE UP ONES FRONT BRAKE CALIPERS.

merdick was indeed correct. thank you sir and all who dropped their .02

You should have told us that it was leaking from the start! You woulda have seen the brake fluid all over the ground. We coulda told you it was the washers instead of us all guessing!

The washers that came with my brakes worked just fine!

Glad you fixed it...

No no man the washers only leaked a bit till and only until i tried doubling up the cheap washers the banjo bolts came with. they DID NOT leak when i used one on each side. nor do they leak now that im using one OE Ford washer on each side.

I tested my new brakes a few times and the same day i fixed them just in time to go to California Speed way's PM drag racing event.

I ran 14.6 @ 100 mph, then 14.2 @ 99 mph then, changed nitrous jets to 125 shot and my tire psi and ran 13.7 @ 102. not bad for a heavy GT VERT.

Glad to hear you got it fixed. My Cobra brakes should go on next week, along with 3.73s, bearing, and diff cover.
