Hey guys,

So I was goofing off earlier today and did a burnout. When I came back around to see the 11's I pained, I found just a 1 coming from my left tire. This leads me to assume that the only wheel actually spinning was my left one which doesn't sound right. What do I need to do to fix the issue?

how many miles are on the car? Most likely it's just worn clutch plates in the rear diff. buy a new set of plates anywhere from 75 for normal ones or 120 for the good ones. pretty simple install imo as well.

 

Only about 51xxx. Would that be the same thing as this?

shouldnt be shot after 51k tho i wouldn't think. unless it's had a hard life.

 

If someone changed the fuild in the diff and didn't add the proper frictionb modifier that would explain the early failure of the clutch packs.

I'll look through the paperwork to see if the previous owner changed it. Thanks for the help guys, I'll probably get around to fixing it within the next couple months and I'll slap in some 3.73s while I'm at it.

yeah it will be fine to leave it. you will just have one wheel putting power down to the pavement.

 

which annoys the hell out of me haha. There are no shops around here (im up at school now) that I'd trust with my baby though. I'll probably have to wait till Christmas time when I go home to get RealSpeed out on Long Island to do the 3.73 gear install, Traction Lock rebuild and a Dyno Tune.

Went through the paper work btw, and couldn't find anything about changing the fluid in the differential.
