i have a 1500 watt system with a 1 farat cap, would it still be safe or will i need to upgrqade the altenator, if so how much do they run??

MAC and some March pulleys are piggys. That means once you remove the stock dampener, you bolt it to the underdrive pulley for the crank and then mount both of them as a single unit. I had the MACs. After I put them on, I developed a misfire between 2500 and 2800 rpm. I threw codes for P0300, P0303, P0305, & P0316. My guess is that because the weight of the stock pulley is now 2 inches further forward, it threw off the crank position sensor and caused the misfires. I bought Steedas on ebay and that solved the problem. March also makes makes a once piece dampener pulley. Both the March and Steeda are SFI approved (race worthy).

FRPP does not make pulleys for your '04; go Steeda.
