Default turbo 2 valve?

so with the turbo kits that are on the after market today do you have a lot of lag? i know that will depend on the size of the turbo but for the most part when will you start to "feel" the boost on a built 2v?

you answered your own question. it depends on WAY too many factors to even remotely answer that question. but buying a quality turbo kit that doesnt come with a stupid huge turbo isnt going to have much lag.

Hellion is top quality. You cant go wrong with that. The problem will be you getting too addicted to power and want more boost then your limiting factor will be your engine and drivetrain.

Talk to someone at hellion or somewhere that really knows turbo setups on new edge mustangs, but I can tell you from the people that I've talked to that the difference between how a 66 and a 76 acts is huge.

66 will spool faster, but a 76 will end up making more power once it spools up. as a general rule, psi for psi, a bigger turbo will make power, but it takes longer for it to spool up.

Actually when I talked to the guys at MMR, they said a 76mm is too big for a stock head/cam 2v, you'll have problems with surging and such from what they told me.

I would get a On 3 Performance turbo kit.... The kit is 1700.

But your going to need all the other goodies to go with it. ( K-member, fuel pump, tuner, Better MAF, etc...)

And you wont be at full boost untill 3500-4000 rpm with the 70mm turbo)

Every thing together its like 4-5k for every thing.

the turbo that comes with it sucks. you need to upgrade the turbo which puts the kit at 2 grand if i recall. and 4-5k for a bottom end turbo kit, or 5 or 6 for a hellion... no brainer.
