Default ecm calibration code

My mustang was an auto converted to a manual. There was a new calibration code on the computer that was put on a sticker in my door well. The sticker is faded and i cannot read it for my tuner. Is there any other way to get this code?

Ill try taking it out tomorrow to check but i am not sure its going to be on there because its not the original computer and the calibration # has changed. Is there any machines that can read the calibration # if needed

Did they swap in a different computer out of a manual car or just reprogram the one that came in your car to work with a manual? If they swapped in a computer from a manual car then the computer code of the new computer will be on the computer and be the one the tuner needs to tune the car.

They bought a brand new computer and put the program on it. They did not use my old one or get a used one from another manual car. They put the new calibration sticker in my door with the calibration code but its weathered and i cannot make it out. I can check the computer tomorrow to see if the put a sticker or something on it but was curious if there is another way like hooking it to a machine to get the code of needed. I will need to get a tune soon and understand you need the calibration code for that tune.

The new computer should still have a code somewhere on it and thats what you need. Idk if a hand held tuner can get the computer code from it or not. If you've got one try and see. If not, it's easier to pull the computer out then driving around town looking for someone to try and get the code through a handheld device.

Mines 3 letters and 1 number, Idk if they changed it on the 99+ computers, or if there is any set pattern they try to follow.

Thanks Chris, i went to my mechanic today and they put a machine on it and gave me the code. It is 4 digits but it is 2 letters and 2 numbers. I am pretty sure its the right number.
