Get the 2 inch cowl and put a GT hood scoop on it to cover where it sticks through. That would look cool.

Did ya not read his 14 replies about the hood? 2" won't cut it...he needs 4" but will have to settle for 6".

what is the hp and tq rating for a PI 5.4? when did the PI start in the 5.4's 99+ right? do you have any write-ups, or any help for doing a 5.4 swap?

Yes I believe it was 99 for the PI heads on the 5.4's. I have a write up on how to do it, its actually really simple. The link is at the bottom of this post. The hp is rated at 265 and the torque is 350. But then again you gotta remember thats in a truck, with a truck tune. Throw a sports car tune on that some stage 2 cams and some stage 2 ported heads.

Actually, he said the 2.5 won't fit. Anyway, I had the same Idea. if he cut a 2.5 like his stock hood and added the standard Ford scoop, it might just do it. Is the 2.5 inch cowl 2.5 inches taller than the stock or just 2.5 inches from a neutral point of measure. If that is the case, how high is the stock hood? 1 inch cowl? I guess I just don't know from where the measurements are derived. If the 2.5 is 2.5 inches taller than the stock hood, then the scoop idea could work. It would make the 2.5 less noticeable and help him to remain a true sleeper.

do the 99+ 5.4s have coil on plug's like ther PI mustangs do? cuz mine is a 96 and i dont have that, so would i need the computer also? or could i use my ignition system that it comes with and the same (96 4.6)computer?
