Default having clearance problems.

Well i just bought some bf goodrich 295/35/18 and got them installed. Well i am having some clearance problems with clearance. I live in Houston and for those of you who live there, know how that roads are, well i am rubbing whenever i hit a bump. So i bought some Tokico shocks the HP sports, Do you think that this will fix the problem. My car is lowered 2 inches also.

I think your Tokico struts and shocks should definitley help you
when you go over speed bumps.Try to drive slow when you drive
over speed bumps, inclines in the road, and pot holes etc.
I have Tokico struts and shocks and I love them.
They definitley improved my ride quality that's for sure.
When you install lowering springs it makes your struts and shocks
wear out twice as fast
Not if you have the correct dampers on.

Are you rubbing the fender lip or the exhaust pipe? What is the offset of your rear wheels? Might need to roll your fenders. I run 295/35/18 BFGs and a big drop without issues.

Your 2" drop is the probably the biggest issue here, but your tire diameter is likely contributing a bit.

Where is it rubbing? What size tire were you running prior and was all else the same?

oh yeah and its rubbing on the actual fender. they are 18 inch saleen wheels and i thought that you could go bigger with 18s than 295 without rubbing

Real Saleen or knock offs? Trying to find offset -which might be the issue. On my white car, it's low enough that the top of the tire rests just inside the fender and doesn't rub. I've got a little bit more gap on the black car, it sits up about 3/4" higher in the rear.

If you have sagging shocks, I'd replace them.
