Default Thinking about getting a stang

I currently drive a Cobalt SS (Supercharged) with light mods (GM Stage II Intake and a downpipe) I love the car to death, but I'm getting tired of FWD, and theres a decently priced mustang near me, and it's my second favorite body style, I'm almost positive my car is faster then a GT from that year as it stands, but I really want RWD, and a ridiculously awesome exhaust note.

How easy is it to get power out of this Gen of mustangs? and is this one a good deal?

Its not too easy to get good power out of this generation 2V Mustangs without FI or nitrous.
And that looks like a great deal. I know if I were in the market I would want to go check that one out. Also it looks like that one already has aftermarket exhaust, SLP specifically.

Well I'm not talking like crazy high power, I'd be happy with high 13's before any sort of boost, and yeah, that place has like all stick "performance" cars, so I was figuring if I got that mustang, I would get a decent trade in for the balt

High 13's would be super easy, all you need are gears a tune and maybe a couple bolt ons and your there no problem. Probably better tires too

Gears and some good tires would get you in the high 13's. But remember you are always going to want more.

he said the same year tho...hes got an 06. the 05+ gt's have a 3v motor which makes much nicer power than our 2v's.

what year are you looking at?

and like said, a 2v gt can EASILY be a 13sec car on street tires with boltons. you can hit 12's on slicks.

Based of he one he has in the link I think he is looking for a new edge body style. Im thinking he was saying his car is faster than the car of that year meaning the new edge.

Yes, I was saying my modded cobalt is faster then the (Assumingly) stock GT I linked, but mod for mod, the GT would poop on my car

and yes, I love the 2000-2004 or whatever years they run, only stang I like more is the foxbody.

I'm going to test drive it tomorrow, and depending on how much I can get for the balt, and assuming it runs good, I'll probably get it

Anything I should look out for when driving it?
