Default Transgo aode hd2 help

I'm about to change my transfluid install a cooler and install a temp gauge. Would this be something you guys recommend? I have heard a lot of good things about it and then some bad but idk if the bad is from miss use of transmission like force downshifting and things of that nature. And advice you guys got is appreciated

I heard the same things you did, but I ended up installing the transgo shift kit. It did make the shifts firmer. I have had no problems with it so far.

I wouldnt go as far as using a temp gauge. You can get a shift kit or just j-mod the stock one...either way it will firm the shifts up nicely

I have the Trans-Go shift kit in mine and I have had no problems. Very nice firm shifts and will downshift manually on demand. That accompanied with my Diablosport tuner and i can chirp into 3rd lol..but I didnt install a trans-cooler as I don't drive my car hard enough to raise my tranny temps that much.

I'm installing a cooler just to be safe nothing more than that and gauge just to keep an eye on it.

Well that is probably smart for the long run. I want to and probably should at least do the cooler but I don't know how to route the cooling lines and everything for that.

I put the transmission cooler on also. It can't hurt to have it.

our cars have stock coolers in the radiator, you can just plug the radiator cooler, cut the lines right in front of the radiator. then hang your new cooler in front of the radiator, and it should come with rubber lines to connect to your cut lines to the cooler.

also to the op, i originally wanted to just do the jmod, but after talking to a few on mm i was convinced to go with the better trans go kit, so that's what i plan on doing this winter

Yeah I've heard tons on other forums saying jmod is garbage. I'm gonna buy it and I'll let you know how it is. Should be in next week or the following depending on how much time I have. Only other issue is I dont have a tuner so I don't want sloppy shifts.

hmm links to the threads that said the Jmod was garbage?
just wondering because ide be interested in reading them because on this forum it seems most say jmod>transgo

I have a transgo and am still debating what one to do. I know alot of deisel guys enlarge the valves etc such as as the Jmod does. And from what ive heard most cop cars get a transgo shift kit installed? (idk about that last part what i heard but if its true and cop cars go through alot of **** then it could prove that they are durable parts)
