Default Transmission acting up

I have a tr3650 trans and im having issues with my car going into gear. Its not just 1 gear but all and i have had my synchros replaced before and that was back in 2007 with no issues until now. I did put royal purple synchromax in my car about 3-4 moths ago. The problem has been going on for less then a month now with my shifting being very smooth and then other times were i struggled to get it into gear. I mean i really had to work to get into gear. There is no grinding issues like when my synchros went out. Just seeing if anybody has any thought on my situation or have had similar issues.

thanks Jared

Well you can start by draining that synchromax and putting in 3.2 quarts of plain good ol' Valvoline Dex/Merc 3 non-synthetic ATF and see how it feels after

+1 on the ATF. make sure its 3.2 quarts. aamco had no idea when they redid my trans, so i had to drain the trans and do it myself. sucks i know, that royal purple is damn expensive.

I changed out my fluid yesterday to Valvoline dex/merc and my problem with my car not going into gear has gone away. i drove the car all day today and did not have to force my car into gear once. anybody out there be very cautious about putting RP syncromax into your tr3650 trans.i hope this helps out any of u out there that is deciding on putting RP into there mustang.

Some people have run it for a lot of miles with no issues at all but it's best to put the good old regular stuff in. The amount of fluid you put in is almost more important than the choice of fluid itself. Do you remember how much of that RP stuff did you put in back then?

i put in 3.2 qrts of oil in it 3 months ago when i did my clutch. I put in the same amount on sat as well and when i took out the RP i put it all in a 4 qrt bottle. it came out around 3.2 qtrs give or take some. Not sure what the deal was but im going to stick with dex/merc since my trans likes it and its only 14.99 for 4 qrts.
