Hydraulic lash adjusters not squishing ?????
I have my motor out and just reinstalled the heads. I am putting the HLA back in and am unsure if they are ok to use or not. The book says to insert paper clip to push the plunger and then let sit in oil. 3 of the HLA will compress in the oil so i can prime them for instalation. The others wont. What do I do? Right now I have one heads worth standing upright in some oil. The other heads worth are standing upright in a drawer to see if they will bleed on their own. Any help or suggestions???

Also, The book says to not mix up the roller arm and the HLA but I accidently knocked my thing over and they got mixed up. They are still sepereated by heads, meaning all the ones for the right head are together and the left ones are together. Is this really gonna cause a big problem since there is nothing that I can do about it now?
Thanks

What kind of oil are you using? Needs to be 5w30 if not 5w20. Also, it is always best to keep them separated and put back in the same exact spot with the matching follower, but unless they have a ton of miles on it, I don't see it becoming a catastrophe or anything. The ends wear and basically make their own little signature wear marks in their corresponding follower. So it is always best to keep them separated. Too late now.
