Default Lowering Springs and Tire question.....

I hope I can get some help..... I have a 35th anniversary black 99 mustang Gt with stock 17's. I was looking into the sportline Eibach lowering springs which lower the front 2.0" and the back 1.8"...I wanted to keep my stock shocks, would I be able to keep my stock shocks?... I was just planning on getting caster camber plates.... O and wuts the widest tire u you can fit up front and back.... front 275/35/18? back 295/35/18..? I am planning on using 18x9's up front and 18x10's out back....I would appreciate any help given... Thx.

Largest up front is about 275/285.

Largest in back is 315 or so (I've seen 335's)

Those Eibach's with the overkill drop would eat your stock shocks alive. It will work...for a little while.

Caster-Camber plates are going to be pretty much required, hell...they're damn near a requirement for the stock setup. [:-]

Haha, yeah man. You would need aftermarket shocks/struts with most of the lowering springs out there.

Bilstein makes some FANTASTIC stuff for the Mustangs.

I know you said you were getting Caster Camber plates but dont wait make sure you change them when you lower your car. Learn from my stupidity I bought my car lowered and the people did not put caster camber plates in when they did it so when I put my new rims and tires on it took about a month for me to ruin the front tires.

Ahhh....thats gotta suck... yea when i make my mind up and decide to get whatever springs I do get, caster camber plates will also be purchased.... Now what drop do you peepz have on ur stangs?.....how many inches did u drop where and do you like it dat way or would you go lower if you could? is a 2" drop at the front too much would 1.5" drop at the front be better... What you think....

i the dropzone 2 inch drop then took it into les schwab and had the springs compressed another .5 of an inch. took them home and put them on with tokico blue gas shocks and struts and been driving on it for a year with no cc plates and no alignment. ive taken it in twice to les schwab twice and i have even wear all the way across.. so cc plates arent for everyone..
