Default Anybody have experience with this engine/head/cam combo?

Hi guys

Im putting together a new engine and wondered if anybody had some experience with this combo.

MMR 900 stroker, Trick flow head, Trick flow intake manifold and MMR stage 2 blower cams.

Going to run it with a Vortech V2 and 3.1 pulley.

at what rpm did you get max hp? max torgue? got a dyno sheet?

What did you set your rev limiter to?

Would appreciate any input from anybody that have tried anything similar to this.

id rev it high 6000's. you'll easily make mid-high 400rwhp if you have meth or intercooler.

That engine combo will be able to make some serious power with the right blower......but it is also way overkill for a car running that v2 s-trim. You should figure out what your target ET or HP goal is and plan out a build to meet your goal. You could end up saving a lot of money doing it that way instead of just building an engine that is way more than you need.

You shift at 6k Kugzgt? If so try shifting around 6200-6300. I guarantee you that you'll be faster by doing so.

Target is around 650 rwhp. I do 408 now with the blower on stock engine, so the intake, cams and stroker should get me well above 500.
V2 might be pressed to do 600+. Vortech site states 700+, but that is probably flywheel hp.

Yeah, but you want to shift past the peak for best performance. Trust me on this one.

I would also shop around if you are considering a new engine.
I have heard mixed reviews from people about the Modular Mustang Racing
short blocks.
One of the best modular engine builders in North America
is Modular Performance.

i cant believe im sayin this but +1 upgrade to T trim so you dont strain the S trim so hard.

But the T-trim doesn't seem like much of an upgrade.

From Vortech site:
V-2 Si-Trim Std 52000 RPM 22 PSI 1150 CFM 775 HP
V-1 T-Trim HD 55000 RPM 26 PSI 1200 CFM 825 HP

V1 does have the heavy duty gearcase though, but I would expect it to be somewhat noisier also.
