Default Need help, not familiar with problem

I need help figuring out what's going on with my 2001 GT. I'm going to do my best to describe the problem:

When I shift into gears and begin to apply throttle, the car seems to stutter, or bog down. 1st gear is fine, 2nd is usually OK, but 3rd and 4th always happens. If I drive VERY reserved, it's ok. If I give it even the TINIEST bit of extra throttle to get moving a bit quicker, it starts to jerk a bit, stutter, bog down. I'm not sure how to describe this but I'm hoping someone can figure out what I'm trying to say, possibly had a similar problem.

The car has been driving perfectly fine up 'till now. This started Monday afternoon as I was going home from work.

Anyone got any ideas or anything?

I'll check the intake tomorrow, thanks for that tip.

No CEL right now. No idea about the plugs or any of that. I bought the car used with 106K, I got 114K now, 3rd owner.

If you can, next time you drive it force the car to do it, don't baby it when it starts doing it. We need the car to throw a cel to see where the issue is based. Sounds to me like it's in due time for a set of plugs, fuel/air filters, and possibly a coil or two if the plugs don't clear up the hesitation.

Had a Taurus doing the same thing. It eventually threw a code indicating a vacuum leak. Sure enough a vacuum hose on the intake had a hole in it. Replaced it and problem fixed.
Good luck.

Ok. I'm going to check out the intake system tomorrow morning before I go to work. I'll force her to act up on the way in, if it still does it.

I was thinking it might have something to do with coil pack or a wire or plug perhaps.

Honestly Sean I'm going to go ahead and say it might be time for new plugs, when they get bad the motor will do all kinds of crazy things like what you are describing, also did you put on new gaskets with that intake manifold I sent ya?
