Default DOHC swap for cobra s/c or cobra s/c 2v

i'm thinking about getting a 99-04 mustang gt or an non s/c cobra. i got a s/c for an 03-04 cobra, and didn't know what i should do. would it be cheaper to use the cobra s/c on the 2v or to get a dohc motor and swap it out or spend a little more for a cobra 99-02 and drop the s/c on it? the kit for the 2v adapter is about $2k and would probably need injectors. what other options could i do. i can get a 02 continental motor for like $500 with 60k. i just don't have a clue on where i should go with this.

I don't think the Continental engine will help you as it was originally a transverse mounted engine and I think the mounting points are different than 4.6 blocks for rwd cars. If the 03/04 blower will mount onto the 99/01 engine (not sure on that) then definitely go for the Cobra (people usually only have GT's because they can't afford a Cobra) if you can swing it.

As stated above the continental motor will not work, some people say just get the motor mount locations re-worked so it will drop in but its worthless because the bolt pattern for the bellhousing is different as well. The cheapest and easiest route would probably be to find a 99/01 cobra motor.

what i was thinking, was to use the parts from the continental motor to make a 4v 4.6. i have heard the blocks were different. just wasn't sure about the best and cheapest way to bolt this blower onto something.

almost every post I have seen involving putting a Eaton on a 2V or even a non 03/04 motor have said that for the same $ you could have bolted on a Better S/C made for that certain engine. I'm not saying it can't be done just saying when all said in done is it the right direction

If you just have the supercharger off a 03/04 and that is the only thing you have and nothing else, you can not just bolt it on and expect it to work. There is a lot more to it then just bolting it on to the motor. It is cheaper to buy a aftermarket supercharger and better performance ,then it is to obtain all the parts necessary to make the eaton work. Also 99/01 cobra motors should be forged before adding any power adders. These motors have high compression ratio. If you do a search you will find posts where people have done this and what is needed.
