Default Wheels/Rims/Dubs, etc.

I am considering my options for some aftermarket wheels for my GT. As I was looking around I noticed that the Infiniti G35 has the same bolt pattern as the Mustang. Now, before anyone overreacts, take a look at some of the G35 rims on eBay and let me know what you think. Seems like it would be easy to pop out the infiniti center cap and install a mustang cap in its place. What do you guys think?

17"

18"

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot out there for mustang / cobra rims. At least not many that look that great.

I like the 17's better. The 18's remind me of something id see in newark, buyt thats just me.

Your gunna need some rubber for them too... any thoughts on tires? M/T et street radials are what many of the regulars at racewaypark are running.... just a thought.

You need to check the back spacing. Just because the bolt patern is the same, doesn't mean the wheels will fit, or look right.

Good point... you can really screw up the way the car handles

I can't find an exact number...but from what I can gather, the offset for stock Mustang GT rims are +25mm. The Infiniti's are +35. Which, if I understand offset right, would mean they would stick out 10mm more then stock. Which is fine by me...I think the Mustang has a narrow stance anyway.

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Anyone have any exact numbers for the wheel offset on the 94-04 Mustang? What kind of range do I have?

Just my opinion but i think mustangs look better with larger spokes bc they are decent sized cars. Just my .02

I didn't know others were...I haven't seen or found the other posts you mentioned.

I would venture that the reason why is because stock take offs are cheap, that is my reason anyways.

By getting different offset rims, your screwing with the handling of your car.... dont be surprised if it does in fact handle like chit.
