On mythbusters last night, they put moth ***** in the gas tank and it actually gave it an octane boost, hence my signature.

I use moth ***** and a few squirts fo Raid.....I pulled a 9 sec 1/4 mile.

Hell i don't know, and no. On that episode the also tested bleach, sugar, and i think some type of cleaner. The moth ***** was the last test. By that time, the engine was probably so fuggered up anyway, it didn't matter.

I saw the episode, and they in no way were able to tell what effect the moth ***** had on the octane of the fuel, they would need a lab to measure that. Octane is nothing more than a fuels ability to resist preignition. The engine in question did seem to run smother and sounded better, but I have no idea why, possible the moth ball actually made the fuel more volitile but I really don't know.
