Default rev problem after oil change

Ran into something strange today after I changed my oil. Car wont rev past 2500 while at a stand still, hits the limiter. Took it for a drive, went through the gears got it up to about four grand no problems. stopped at stop sign and still the problem persists, wont go past 2500. Doubt the oil change has anything to do with it but its after that that i noticed the problem. Anybody run into this before? And any solutions? Thanks in advance.

Has nothing to do with your oil change. It's a rev limiter... You ever messed with a handheld tuner? Our cars have limiters for in gear and out of gear.

Does it do this with the clutch in, or clutch out?

i have the sct x3 with 91 octane performance tune. will go drive and see if the clutch in or out has anything to do with it.

It's not a problem, bud. It's a rev limiter. You can adjust it with your controller.

Ya...check the tuner and see if you have the rev limit in neutral changed

Ok, give it a look, but I have had that tuner on the car for over a year and never had this problem before. Seems strange it would do this out of the blue. Let ya know what I find

Again...it's not a problem. It's just a rev limiter. You apparently didn't know about it.

Like they said, it's normal.

By the way, your car looks REALLY familiar. Are you from the central Texas area?

Great guys, found the setting with my programmer. Just strange that I never noticed it before. Thanks for the help. Synyster, I live in los Angeles. But I have seen multiple cars around these sites that look similar.
