I agree. If this guy's asking 6k for a flood car rolling chassis, he's and idiot and obviously thinks cobra badges alone are something special. And i'd hate to burst the sellets bubble, but of he thinks a car that was either partially or completely submerged in water doesnt have any body damage, i think he's in for a surprise when you really start taking a good look at the floor pan and the frame. This deal is completely ridiculous.

I agree with using it for a track car.If you buy it with the thought of putting it back on the road, you'll probably run into more headaches and money than what you expect.

so instead of fixing a known good car, you'd swap to a known flooded car?

Makes sense to me, go for it!

Its not even worth it for a race car, find a roller that was flooded for same price. You can prob pick up a blown up 94-04 6 banger for cheap and strip it down. Atleast it wouldn't have water damage.

A friend of mine is always looking for deals. Hes found cars that have all the suspension and framework done and caged for around $2000. Thats an awesome roller. To pay 3x that for a flood car with nothing done is insane. And considering he's asking 6k i dont see him letting it go for under4500.

It would be cheaper to buy a gt roller and throw a cobra kit on it.

Thinking no matter how much i build that 96, and push 600hp, its NEVER ( in my opinion) gunna be as nice as an 03/04. just thinking outloud, feel free to send me your opinions

nice pics, very sexy cobra. I do love my 96, but more partial to that 04. I think majority rules it wouldn't be worth the trouble so i'm sticking to the old faithful, which isn't a sarcrifice really...both awesome cars. So same plan, beef the 96', when i go to pull this engine, it is easier to pull out the top or out of the bottom, used to big ol monte carlo's and such, this being a smaller car, maybe the bottom would be easier. any thoughts?
